Two days after Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav dismissed links to an under-construction mall in Gurgaon that the CBI searched Wednesday, the construction firm too denied it had any association with Yadav.
The CBI had searched Urban Cube mall in Gurgaon’s Sector 17 in connection with a “land-for-jobs” case against former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad and his family.
On Friday, the company constructing the mall, Whiteland Corporation Pvt. Ltd, said the CBI’s allegation of the mall being connected to Yadav, as reported in the media, was a “false portrayal”. It claimed “vested interests” were maligning its reputation.
A statement released by Whiteland said: “All the assets of the company have been lawfully acquired with only the legitimate sources of the company and are regularly audited as per the protocol. Whiteland Corporation Pvt Ltd is a growing Company with a stupendous track record of the management. We hope this matter is thoroughly investigated and only the correct information is circulated,” it added.
